Ask your AI assistant about your fund expenses.
Ceviche MCP connects Claude and ChatGPT to your books in Ceviche. Ask about bills, splits, approvals and fund invoices in plain English, and get numbers that tie back to Ceviche.
What is Ceviche MCP?
MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the open standard Claude and ChatGPT use to connect to outside software. Ceviche MCP is our connector. Add one URL to your assistant, sign in with your Ceviche account, and approve read-only access.
- Spend by fund
- Spend by vendor
- Approvals waiting
- Open fund invoices
- Bills not yet split
- Quarter-end review
Ask the way you would ask your controller.
Plain questions, answered from your books in Ceviche. These use invented names.
- “How much was charged to Fund II in the last two quarters?”
- “Who are our top 5 vendors this year?”
- “What's waiting for approval, oldest first?”
- “Which fund invoices are still open?”
- “Do our 2026 allocations tie out to the bills?”
- “What needs my attention on the books right now?”
More by job, from spend to month-end review, in What you can ask.
Numbers you can defend.
Every figure comes from Ceviche, and every answer says what it covers.
Totals with their counts
Ceviche does the arithmetic. Each total comes back with the number of bills or splits behind it, and with what was left out, such as voided bills or bills with no date.
A check that it ties
Every grouped total says whether the groups add up to the total, and whether every split adds up to the bill it splits.
A link back to the bill
Answers link each record to its page in Ceviche, so your team can open the bill, the split and the approval behind any number.
Build reports from your numbers.
Ask for a dashboard, a spreadsheet or a one-pager. The assistant builds it from Ceviche's figures, in Ceviche's colors.
Read-only, and limited to your team.
You sign in to Ceviche on a Ceviche page. The assistant never sees your password, and you can disconnect it at any time.
Read-only
Ceviche MCP can't create, edit, approve, allocate, post or delete anything in Ceviche or in your accounting system.
Your team only
Each connection is bound to your team in Ceviche. It never reaches another team's data or mixes teams in one answer.
Your own permissions
The assistant reads as you, so an answer never contains a record you couldn't open in Ceviche yourself.
No chat history kept
Ceviche doesn't receive or store your conversations, prompts or answers, and doesn't log the data it sends back.

Frequently asked questions
Ask your Ceviche contact to turn Ceviche MCP on for your team. Then add https://app.ceviche.ai/api/mcp as a custom connector in Claude, sign in with your Ceviche account and click Allow. The setup guide at ceviche.ai/docs/mcp has the steps for Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT.
No. Claude, Claude Code and ChatGPT work today. Codex is coming. Other assistants aren't supported yet.
No. Every tool is read-only. Ceviche MCP can't create, edit, approve, allocate, post or delete anything in Ceviche or in your accounting system, and no setting turns that on.
Ceviche never uses your data to train models. Once your assistant receives an answer, your agreement with its provider, such as Anthropic or OpenAI, governs how that provider handles it. Check your plan's data settings before you connect.
Not yet. Today Ceviche MCP reads teams whose books are kept in Ceviche itself. Teams connected to QuickBooks Online or NetSuite, or with card spend from Ramp, can connect, but those records aren't available through it yet.
Ask your Ceviche contact about your plan. Your assistant's own plan, such as a Claude subscription, is separate.
An export is a snapshot that you filter and total yourself. Ceviche MCP reads Ceviche fresh for every question, does the totals for you, and links each figure back to its bill. When you need a spreadsheet, the assistant can build one from the answer.
